My Story

Oysterville refers to a place that has been special to my family for five generations. But to me, Oysterville has always meant more than a place. It’s a way of life.

It’s enjoying the waters of Cape Cod, its beautiful beaches and villages, and the people who make them special. It’s family and friends gathering around a table, long summer days, simple traditions and making new ones, good conversation, creating something together, and appreciating the moments that make life special.

Like so many of us, I’ve had moments in my life that have changed me and helped define who I am. We all have a story…

Years ago, my then fiancé, now husband, was diagnosed with cancer. Needless to say, our lives changed. We began cooking differently and making healthier lifestyle choices. When we finally reached a point where we could relax and enjoy a drink again, we started paying much more attention to what we were consuming.

Vodka became our spirit of choice because of its simplicity and versatility.

I wanted to understand everything about it. What vodka was made from, how it was distilled, how it was filtered, and, most importantly, what made one vodka noticeably cleaner and smoother than another. We tried vodkas made from wheat, grains, potatoes, and corn. Short of moonshining in my backyard, I wanted to learn everything I could about the process. Relax, the moonshine part is a joke…so stay with me.

And Oysterville Vodka was born.

Oysterville first hit store shelves in 2015. While I am proud of what’s in the bottle, I’ve realized over the years that Oysterville is more than that…

The Oysterville way of life.

It’s about recognizing what matters.

The people around your table.
The place that makes you feel at home.
Creating something.
Sharing something.
Laughing together.
Starting traditions and making new ones.
Trying something new.
Taking the time to truly enjoy where you are and who you’re with.
